Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and PlayRoam ("we", "us"), which operates PlayRoam at https://staging.playroam.gg. By creating an account or using the PlayRoam app, you accept these Terms.

The service

PlayRoam is a Windows application and website that receives the video stream from your game console and processes it on your PC, including upscaling and frame generation. To use it you need a compatible PC, a console or capture card, a PlayStation Network account where applicable, and a suitable network connection. Results depend on your hardware and network; we don't guarantee a particular resolution, frame rate or latency.

Your account

• Give a valid email address and keep your password to yourself.
• An account is for one person. One app session can be active at a time; signing in on another computer ends the previous session.
• Using one account on several computers at once, or sharing it, can end your sessions without notice.
• You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at support@playroam.gg if you think someone else has access to it.

Subscription and billing

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

• Subscriptions renew automatically every billing period until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from your account page (Manage billing). After cancelling you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
• If we change the price, we'll tell you by email at least 30 days before the change applies to your subscription.
• Taxes are calculated by Paddle at checkout based on your location.

Refunds

Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• circumvent, disable or tamper with licensing, session limits or other technical protections of the service;
• resell, rent or share access to the service;
• use the service to break the law or to infringe other people's rights;
• interfere with the operation or security of the service.

Your use of consoles, games and third-party networks (such as PlayStation Network) remains subject to their own terms.

Third parties and trademarks

PlayRoam is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Microsoft or Rockstar Games. PlayStation, PS5, Xbox, Grand Theft Auto and other names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, with a refund where our Refund Policy or the law requires one.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version on this page and, for material changes, email you before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where PlayRoam is established, without affecting the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country you live in.
