Hogwarts Legacy: Fidelity mode at 60 FPS on your PC

Hogwarts Legacy on PS5 runs Fidelity mode at 30 FPS at about 1800p, with an optional ray-traced variant, and Performance mode at 60 FPS at 1440p. A 40 FPS Balanced mode exists for 120 Hz TVs. With PlayRoam you play Fidelity, ray tracing included, and see the castle at 60 FPS on your PC.

How Hogwarts Legacy runs on PS5

• Fidelity: about 1800p at 30 FPS, without ray tracing.
• Fidelity with ray tracing: adds ray-traced shadows and reflections (not on water) at 30 FPS. Switching it on requires a restart.
• Balanced: 40 FPS at 1800p, for displays running at 120 Hz.
• Performance: 60 FPS at 1440p, with reduced detail.

There's also an unlocked high-frame-rate Performance option for 120 Hz displays, built for TVs connected directly to the console.

What PlayRoam changes

• Fidelity at 60 FPS motion. Stream at 30 fps; frame generation doubles it. Broom flights over the Highlands and sweeping camera moves in the Great Hall gain the most.
• Ray tracing without the judder. The ray-traced mode's reflections in Hogwarts' halls look their best with smooth motion.
• Skip the 40 FPS and unlocked modes. They depend on a 120 Hz signal; a 30 or 60 fps stream can't carry them evenly.

Recommended PlayRoam settings

• Exploring the castle and Highlands: Fidelity or Fidelity with ray tracing, stream 1080p at 30 fps, frame generation 2×.
• Duels and combat-heavy quests: Performance mode, stream 1080p at 60 fps.
• Connection: Local network, PS5 on Ethernet; away from home, see playing your PS5 over the internet.

Hogwarts Legacy's combat is forgiving, so most players can leave frame generation on throughout.
