Frame generation: 30 → 60 FPS
Pro interpolates in-between video frames from optical flow with FSR 3. Use a 30 FPS stream and a Vulkan 1.3 GPU; the display must refresh at least about 1.8× the stream rate. A 60 FPS stream needs more GPU time than the phones we measured have, and the app says so. The console still renders at its original rate, and the FPS counter includes generated frames.
Generation adds about half a console frame (roughly 17 ms at 30 FPS), plus GPU time. On a 2800×1260 phone, generation with FSR measured 24–27 ms of GPU time per console frame: within a 30 FPS stream's 33 ms, but above the 16.7 ms budget of a 60 FPS stream. Without FSR, generated frames are scaled bilinearly and look softer.
